The 2023 Ride route has been revised featuring some exciting innovations. As always, we begin our journey in Healdsburg on Thursday morning and complete the ride on Saturday in Santa Cruz with the total mileage remaining the same.
Day 1 this year will still include traveling through the gorgeous vineyards and wide-open rolling hills of Sonoma county and will finish at the beautiful Cambria Sonoma Wine Country Inn in Rohnert Park.
Day 2 we'll head west back to the coast at Tamales Bay and resume our traditional route to the Trailhead rest stop, through Marin, San Francisco and ending in Pacifica. We're also moving the lunch stop north from the San Francisco side of the GG Bridge to Sausalito. Climbing up to the bridge and crossing will be much more fun on a full tummy.
Day 3 remains unchanged.
The Finish Line Party will again be hosted by our Lead Sponsor, Santa Cruz County Bank at the corner of Water and River Streets in Santa Cruz.
The 2023 turn-by-turn directions are available online now and a printed copy will be provided to all riders on the day we leave.

Notes: Remember this is an adventure and there are many options to get from a to b…. For new riders we highly recommend you follow the official route and stick with a group especially during the new route on Thursday and the tricky bits on Friday. There are several options in blue on the written directions – these are extra challenges designed for the hardcore rider. Please do not feel that you have to do these, they do add significant climbing and time to your day. The weather is usually pretty nice but mornings can be quite cold and foggy, Thursday afternoon can be quite hot! Friday is a long day – so be prepared for anything! Our amazing crew will be there to take your jackets and warmers off you, and to take you wherever you need! (on the route).
