Victoria Public Library Storybook Fun Run

GENERAL

• When is the Victoria Public Library Storybook Fun Run?

  • The Victoria Public Library Storybook Fun Run will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 9 AM, beginning at the Nave Museum and ending at the Victoria Public Library. This will NOT be a timed run so there will not be any chips, timers, and bibs.

REGISTRATION

• How do I register?

• How much is it to register?

  • General registration is $15 while VIP registration is VIP Registration at $30 and will include:

    • Golf cart ride the length of the fun run

    • First access to activities on the route

    • VIP-only swag

    • 1-year individual membership to the Friends of the Library

• What swag is included in the registrations?

  • All participants who register before Friday, August 15, 2025 will receive a t-shirt. 

• Will I receive a t-shirt if I register after Friday, August 15, 2025?

  • If there are extra t-shirts, you may be able to get one the morning of the race, but this not guaranteed so make sure to register before Friday, August 15, 2025 to ensure you get a t-shirt!

• When does registration for the fun run end?

  • Registration ends at 8:15 AM on Saturday, September 6, 2025.

• Are refunds allowed?

  • No, race entries are non-refundable.

T-SHIRT PICKUP

• When and where is t-shirt pickup?

  • T-shirts will be distributed to registered participants before and after the Fun Run. Look for the "Victoria Area Road Runners Association" tent as VARRA will be helping the library with this!

PARKING & RACE MORNING

• What time should I arrive to the Fun Run?

  • You can arrive any time before 9:00 AM to pick up your t-shirt and get ready for the run.

• Where do I park?

  • There is plenty of street parking available around the Nave Museum and Victoria Public Library.

• What is the day's schedule?

  • 8:00 AM - 8:45 AM: T-shirt pick-up at VARRA tent outside Victoria Public Library

  • 9:00 AM: Fun Run starts

  • 10:00 AM: Fun Run finishes and Victoria Public Library Block Party

• What if there is inclement weather?

  • Every effort will be made to get the run done. If there is light or heavy rain, the run will still go on at 9:00 AM. If there is lightning, the start will be delayed until it is safe to run, so please plan accordingly.

THE COURSE

• What is the course?

  • The course is point-to-point, beginning at the Nave Museum and finishing at the Victoria Public Library. Click on  https://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/6565715434/ for the official race course.

FINISH LINE AND POST RACE FESTIVITIES

• Where are the post fun run festivities being held?

  • The post race festivities are being held around the Victoria Public Library at the Block Party. There will be some snacks and beverages for all to enjoy!

• What festivities will be happening at the Block Party?

  • There will be a costume contest with prizes for the best individual and group costumes so come dressed up in your favorite storybook character!
