In the early hours of July 20, 2012, the Aurora community was forever changed. In the aftermath, the 7/20 Memorial Foundation was created to establish a permanent memorial to honor those impacted.
Since then, the Foundation has grown into a mission-driven organization supporting resilience and serving communities affected by tragedy through initiatives like the Paper Crane Peace Project and the Survivors of Tragedy Outreach Program (S.T.O.P.).
Each year, we gather at the memorial in the Aurora Water-Wise garden for the Day of Resilience—a morning of connection, healing, and community. The event features the Hero’s Journey 5K, wellness experiences, live music, local vendors, and a powerful chalk art installation inspired by resilience and hope.
We invite you to be part of this meaningful day. Sponsorships and donations help make this event possible and support our ongoing work to serve communities in need.
