Details

Monitor, setup and tear down beer pong, cornhole and other game activities. Ensure buckets and game pieces are placed correctly for each new game.

NOTE: Second shift volunteers will be allowed in 30 minutes prior to their shift. Those who WORK the entire second shift will receive a voucher for a complimentary ticket to Ales for Trails 2026.

Friday Set Up Team

Details

Volunteers in this position will assist in setting up the venue prior to the event. There may be some heavy lifting involved.

Front Gate Team High Priority

September 5, 2025

Details

In this position you may be asked to sell tickets, take tickets, check ID, manage the event entrance area/crowd management, work the security lines and direct event attendees and/or handout the signature glasses while guests are entering.

Ice Delivery

September 5, 2025

Details

You deliver ice to the beer vendors as needed. There maybe some heavy lifting involved.

Parking Lot Attendants

September 5, 2025

Details

Lot attendants help direct event participants into parking areas and manage the process. There will be two parking lots this year to watch over and take care of all vehicles in parking areas around the Zoo. They maintain order and direct vehicles within of the parking area as needed. You might be asked to assist in getting guests from parking lots needing a ride to the event front gate and back.

Raffle Sellers

September 5, 2025

Details

Sell raffle tickets to guests. First shift, work the VIP table selling raffle tickets. Second shift, circulate around event in pairs to help sell raffle tickets. If roaming, you will have a raffle sign up stick to hold.

NOTE: Second shift volunteers will be allowed in 30 minutes prior to their shift. Those who WORK the entire second shift will receive a voucher for a complimentary ticket to Ales for Trails 2026.

Rock the Bike Mixer

Details

TIPS Certification required. The job entails, adding seltzer or wine to the mixer on the bikes and instructing the participant how the Rock Bike works.

Maintain garbage cans around the perimeter of the event. Check beer tables needs: overflow buckets and table rags. Maintain cleanliness of tables in pavilions and check grounds for trash to pickup.

Silent Disco

This volunteer task is full.

Details

Volunteers will check in participants to the Silent Disco area by handing them headphones. Before the guest exits, volunteers will take headphones from guest and wipe them down. At the end of the night, headphones need to be accounted for and organized into the shipment tote.

Tap Pullers High Priority

September 5, 2025

Details

Serve beer from various vendors during the event. THIS POSITION REQUIRES TIPS CERTIFICATION.

Upon arrival, you will be assigned to a vendor to assist them throughout your shift. Tasks including but not limited to:
-Pulling beer at 6 oz per glass
-Monitoring ice
-Keeping area tidy
-Engaging with guests
-Encouraging guests to vote for their favorite beer of choice

Tear Down Team High Priority

Details

Tear Down Team members will be responsible to help take down VIP Event at 7:00pm as well as taking down games and activities at dusk. At the end of the night, the tear down team will help vendors load up their items, put away tables and chairs in pavilion, load BTN items into the trailer, clean up garbage and empty bins during the event.

This position will help ensure the VIP event runs smoothly, which could include servicing food/alcohol, working with guests, and supporting setup and clean up.

Beer Competition Assistant Medium Priority

Details

You will be assisting behind the scenes with the beer competition. You will need to pour beer, keep notes, and help the Lead Beer Competition Coordinator. Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
