Course Marshalls and Cheerleaders / Water Stations High Priority

Details

Course Marshalls are volunteers positioned on the race course to guide runners in the right direction. Volunteers need to be able to stand for at least 30 - 45 minutes during the race. You will be brought to your station via bus and picked up. Cheerleaders are on the course cheering on our runners and walkers and giving them encouragement. We provide banners and other items to wave in support. Ideal for teenagers and adults.

Set Up Low Priority

Set up includes hanging banners, moving tables, putting out table cloths, etc.

Registration - FULL Low Priority

You must be 18-100 years old to volunteer for this task.

Details

Volunteers at Registration help to check in registered runners/walkers or register walk-ups. Adults are preferred here as you may be handling money.

Refreshments Medium Priority

Details

Volunteers set out the refreshments and replenish as needed before the race and after. Support is needed as runners/walkers return, so if you plan on walking, please do not sign up for the later time slot.

Finish Line Cheerleaders and Medals Low Priority

Details

Join us at the Finish line to cheer finishers and hand out medals. If you plan on walking, you may not make it back in time for this task. Ideal for non-walkers/runners or runners after they finish the run.

Breakdown Low Priority

April 21, 2024

Details

Help clean up with YMCA staff. Take down banners, pack up supplies.

Pre-Event T-Shirt Pick Up Low Priority

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

Volunteers are needed the week before the event to help sort tshirts by teams and help hand out tshirts to captains on the Wed, Thurs and Friday before the Race. Pick up is located at the Metuchen Branch and volunteer times vary from day shifts to evening shifts.
