The Ernie Els #GameON Autism Golf Program is an inclusive initiative designed to teach individuals with autism the fundamentals of golf—putting, pitching, chipping, and full swing—while also introducing proper club grip techniques. Each class provides a supportive environment where participants can develop foundational motor skills through engaging athletic games and golf activities. In addition to physical skills, the program emphasizes the development of social communication abilities, encouraging interaction and collaboration among peers.
As a volunteer, you will play a key role in ensuring the success of the golf clinic. Your responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with set-up and breakdown of the clinic space, including organizing equipment and ensuring stations are ready for use.
- Welcoming and guiding participants and their families from the parking area to the designated clinic location.
- Supporting golf providers during the session by helping to manage activity stations
- Helping with clean-up efforts after the clinic, including equipment collection and resetting the space for future use.
- Creating a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere for individuals with autism and their families.
