Meet up at the three-way stop sign at Island View Drive and Lake Cabin Drive in the northwest corner of Island Lake North. That’s where we’ll kick things off!
The race will head clockwise around Island Lake North, following a scenic neighborhood route. The finish line will be just shy of the starting point, so you’ll end near where you began—perfect for cheering each other in!
Parking will be along Running Bear Trail and Mallard Drive.

1st Annual Island Lake North Firecracker 5K & Fun Run!
When: Friday, July 4th, 2025 | Race starts at 8:00 AM | Registration opens at 7:00 AM
Cost: $15.00 per participant. If you want to pay for a T-Shirt ($15.00 extra), you must register before June 15th.
Details: Kick off your Independence Day with a burst of energy, community, and patriotic fun around beautiful Island Lake! Whether you're a seasoned runner, casual jogger, stroller-pusher, or just here for the vibes, this fun run is for YOU.

RACE MAP CAN BE FOUND HERE
The Island Lake North Firecracker 5K & Fun Run is all about celebrating community, movement, and patriotic spirit, not competition. This is a non-timed, non-award-based event, so there will be no official prizes for finish times.
That said, for those who are curious about their performance, we’ll be handing out popsicle sticks at the finish line to help track your finish order. Times will be posted later for anyone interested.
Prize Drawings After the Race!
Stick around after you cross the finish line, we’ll be doing random drawings for fun prizes. You must be present to win, so don’t run off too fast!
