BIKE RACKING

Bike Racking will be available on Saturday. If you choose to rack your bikes on Saturday, we will have security monitoring the transition area over night. If you choose to rack your bike on Sunday morning, please plan accordingly. Give yourself ample time to get situated.

Transition will be open from 4:45 AM - 6:15 AM.

BODY MARKING

After checking in, please go to the body marking area. Your race number will be marked on the leg and the arm. These markings are used to identify you at the start and end of the swim, as well as during the bike portion of your race.

SWIM CAPS

Race Day Events provides its participants with latex swim caps. The color of these swim caps denotes which wave you will be participating in. If you have a latex allergy, we encourage you to bring your own swim cap. The non-latex swim cap does not need to be the same color as your wave color, but if it is, that would be appreciated. If you do not have the same color, please alert the race official of your latex allergy before your wave enters the water.

WETSUITS

Age group athletes may wear wetsuits in USAT-sanctioned events when the water temperature is 78°F or below. Wetsuits are optional (but not award-eligible) in water temps from 78.1°F to 83.9°F. Wetsuits are not allowed at 84°F or higher.

Elite athletes have stricter limits: up to 68°F for swims under 3000m, and up to 71.6°F for 3000m or longer, as set by the USAT Athletes Advisory Council.

Wetsuits must not exceed 5mm thickness, including overlapping areas. Any suit thicker than 5mm results in disqualification.

Note: Final decisions may vary based on additional safety factors like air temp, humidity, wind, and athlete acclimation.

TRANSITION AREA RE-ENTRY POLICY

For the safety and fairness of all participants, access to the transition area will remain closed after you finish your race. Participants will not be allowed to re-enter transition to retrieve their bikes or gear until the final cyclist has exited T2 and begun the run portion of the race.

After finishing your event, please listen for announcements regarding when transition will reopen.

If we are able to reopen the transition area earlier, we will allow limited access—two participants at a time—to collect their belongings under staff supervision.

This policy is in place to ensure a smooth and respectful race experience for everyone still on the course.

Please Note: Moving barricades or entering the transition area without approval from official race staff is strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification from the event.
