Is the event open to all ages?
Yes! There is no age restriction on participation. 
 
Can I run with a stroller?
Yes! We will kindly require participants with strollers or baby joggers to start the race at the back, as to not impede others. 
 
Can I run with my dog?
Since the course incorporates the Wyndham Championship course at multiple points, animals will not be allowed to participate.
 
Can I walk this race?
Of course! Getaway 5K is open to participants of all ages and fitness levels. We have allotted 60 minutes for participants to complete the course, as public roads need to open back up. Please keep this in mind when you set your pace. 
 
Are headphones permitted?
Yes! But, for your safety and the safety of others, we kindly ask that you only use one earbud and keep the volume to a reasonable level. Please be mindful of other participants and your surroundings to ensure a safe and enjoyable race for everyone.
 
Can I register on race day?
Yes. Registration on race day will run from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., via this RunSignup page. However, registration on race day is not guaranteed if the event sells out in advance. If there is a sellout, we will communicate that on this event page.
 
When is the packet pickup?
The packet pickup will take place at Fleet Feet Greensboro (3731 Lawndale Drive, Greensboro, NC 27455) on Friday, July 25, from 3-6 p.m.
 
Can another person pick up my packet for me?
Yes. Please make sure they have your registration confirmation email and bib number.
 
Can you mail me my race swag?
Unfortunately, no. All race gets must be picked up during the designated pick-up time prior to the race. 
 
Is the event rain or shine?
Yes! We encourage you to understand the forecast on race day and dress accordingly. However, safety is our biggest priority. In the event of severe weather conditions that pose danger to participants and staff, the race may be delayed or canceled. If the race is canceled, there will be no refunds.
 
How do I wear my bib?
For accurate results, wear your bib on your torso, just above your belly button. Please use four pins or race magnets in each corcement and visibility to ensure proper placement.
 
Is there parking?
Yes, free parking will be available at our starting point, the Grandover Resort & Spa, on a first-come, first-served basis.
 
Is there a bag check?
No. Please leave any personal items in your car while you are on the course. We are not responsible for any lost or stolen items on the premises.

Are there bathrooms on the course?
Yes. We encourage participants to use the bathroom before they arrive on the course, but there will be porta potties available.
 
Are there water stops on the course?
Yes, there will be water placed throughout the race.
 
I can’t participate anymore. What is the refund policy?
Because this is a charity event, there are no refunds. If the event is canceled, participants, your registration will be a donation to our charity partner. All sales and entries are final.
 
I can’t participate anymore. Can I defer or transfer my entry to another person?
No. There are no deferrals or transfers.
