Farrier Supply Tour 2026 - New date: 6/26/26 (Friday)

Ever wonder where your horse's shoes come from?

Join the Southern California Region Pony Club for a special behind-the-scenes tour of a professional Farrier Supply Store in Temecula! This unique educational experience gives members an opportunity to explore the tools, equipment, horseshoes, and materials used by farriers every day to keep horses comfortable, sound, and performing at their best.

During the tour, members will learn about:
• Different types of horseshoes and their uses
• Hoof care repair products
• Farrier tools and equipment
• Corrective and therapeutic shoeing options
• How shoeing decisions impact a horse's comfort and performance

This is an excellent opportunity for Quiz competitors, Horse Management enthusiasts, certification candidates, and anyone who wants to better understand the horse from the ground up.

Please arrive on time. Our hosts close at 5:00 PM and have generously offered to show us around during their business hours for this educational opportunity.

Recommended For:
D-3 Horse Management and above will benefit most, but younger members are welcome if they are able to listen quietly and participate respectfully.

Come Prepared:
Ask your farrier what size and type of shoes your horse currently wears before attending. You'll be surprised how much more meaningful the tour becomes when you can connect what you learn directly to your own horse.

What to Wear:
• Pony Club polo
• Beige / Tan Walking shorts are acceptable
• Closed-toe shoes required
• MAB or Pony Club bracelet
• Note-taking supplies

The warehouse can get warm, so please bring a sealed ice water bottle and cooling towel.
