Clinic Goals

Educating to empower female runners, parents and coaches. 

This is a one day clinic to educate females runners to positively impact and promote healthy lifelong success in running and life. Topics include nutrition, goals, mindset, confidence, perseverance and more.  Speakers include an Olympian, NCAA All-Americans, Collegiate Coach, Nutritionist and Sports Psychologist.

FAQ

Who is this for?  This is for any female athlete interested in learning about nutrition, motivation, overcoming mental challenges, dealing with adversity, persevering and other healthy habits to lead to successful lifelong activity.  The focus will be females in junior high or high school in running, but all female athletes are welcome.  

Can parents attend?  Yes, we highly encourage parents to participate and learn as well.  We will have a few breakout sessions specifically for parents.

Can coaches attend?  Yes, we highly encourage coaches to attend.  This is a great opportunity learn about nutrition, sports psychology and other current topics of interest to take back and utilitze to help your team.

What do I get with athlete only registration?  The athlete will receive a clinic t-shirt, lunch, continental breakfast and clinic notes from speakers. Additionally, you will have the ability to meet with speakers during lunch time.  

What comes with athlete and parent registration? The athlete will get everything stated previously with athlete only registration.  The parent will have the ability to attend all clinic sessions and lunch will be provided.  

What does the coach get with registration?  The coach will be provided clinic notes, lunch and the ability to network with speakers and other coaches.

What does the schedule look like?

8:15-9:00 - Group Run (optional)

8:30-9:45 - Continental Breakfast (grab and go stuff) (yogurt, fruit, muffins, bagels)

9:00-9:45 - Conference check-in

9:45-10:00 - Opening remarks 

10-10:45 - Session #1 (Keynote Speaker) 

11-11:45 - Session #2 

12-12:50 - Lunch (box lunch provided)/ Interacting with speakers

1-1:45 - Session #3 

2-2:45 - Session #4 

3-3:45 - Session #5 

3:45-4 - Closing remarks

Abbey Cooper (D’Agostino) - 2016 USA Olympian in the 5000m in Rio de Janerio 

Dr. Jake Cooper: Sports psychologist at Appalachian State University, who works college and professional athletes

Abby Grimm: Dietician nutritionist with FWDfuel Sports Nutrition

Dr. Sunni Lomnicki (Olding): Chiropractor,  Minster HS alum, former elite runner who ran at Notre Dame and Arizona State

Dara Ford: Head Men's & Women's Track & XC Coach at Otterbein University.  She ran collegiately at University of Mount Union
