Jack Empowers is partnering with College Settlement in Horsham to offer a fun, one-day nature experience for 11 - 14 year olds on Sunday, May 3 from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. The program will use the beautiful outdoor campus and professional programming staff from College Settlement to help participants develop an awareness of the wealth of activity and mental wellness found in the natural environment. The day will include such activities as group games and problem solving, hiking and exploring the wilderness, and interacting with animals. Participation is encouraged to each individual’s comfort level, and all will feel included. Confidence, communication skills, and social development are a few of the potential benefits of the program.
Spots are limited for this one-day camp, so sign up to reserve yours today! A reservation fee of $20 is required, which will be returned to your child in the form of an Amazon gift card when they arrive for the day. Lunch, water, and snacks are included; and phones and electronics are discouraged. Participants should wear comfortable clothes and shoes based on the weather and be ready for outdoor fun and connection!

College Settlement has been operating youth camps on their 235 acres in Horsham for over 100 years. The beautiful campus is home to the headwaters of the Pennypack Creek, dozens of acres of wetlands, beech, oak and pine forests, wildflower meadows and a three-acre pond.
