What is the Lantern Festival all about? 

The Lantern Festival will be a fun, family event with lots of activities all culminating in a lantern parade/stroll at dusk thru Canton’s Etowah River Park. The Festival is a benefit event for the Never Alone Food Pantry in Woodstock GA. Never Alone’s mission is to fight hunger in our community through food assistance and has been doing that since 2012! 

When is the Festival and where will it be held? 

November 5th, starting 4PM, at Etowah River Park, 600 Brown Industrial Pkwy, Canton, GA 30114

How do I get my lantern? 

Lanterns are provided along with purchased tickets. They can be picked up at the Lantern Festival, or in advance of the event on Tuesday’s and Thursdays during October between 2 and 4PM at Never Alone - 291 Ropemill Road, Woodstock, GA  30188. Lantern decorating tips will be provided well in advance of the event via this site, as well as at fun, creative lantern customizing workshops; check back for tips, workshop dates, locations and get creative :) 

What types of activities can I expect at the festival? 

There will be a petting zoo, bounce house, face painting, spin art, and much more, including activities for adults, at no additional charge for ticketed attendees.  Various food options will be available for purchase. The highlight of the festival will be an organized lantern parade at dusk. Lanterns are provided along with purchased tickets.

Never Alone has been operating a food bank and feeding our neighbors since 2012!  (https://neveralone.org)  Never Alone’s mission is to fight hunger in our community through food assistance. We are dedicated to serving all persons regardless of race, creed, citizenship status, or gender identity, with love and dignity as we convey the encouraging message: When you encounter life’s challenges, you are “Never Alone”.
