Stick Horse Sampler Rally @ Sandia Creek Ranch

When:   Saturday, Apr.22, 2023 at 9:30am-2:30pm     Entries due by: 3-22-23 -  GATES OPEN at 9:00am

          (Teams & Parents must be checked in, set-up and ready to get started at 10:00am) please arrive by 9:30am.

• *******all participants will be emailed directions with the GATE CODE
  There is NO cell service or internet out in the countryside so do NOT rely on a navigation system.
• Be sure to PRINT OUT the directions that will be emailed to participants. 
• Teams to caravan together; carpooling is encouraged, parking is limited

Inclement Weather?  This rally goes rain or shine, although the day may be shortened if it rains!

Who Should Attend?  This "Stick Horse Sampler Rally" is a chance to learn a variety of PC experiences!  All new members & a parent - this rally is for kids who have never rallied, are new to pony club, are interested in joining PC or just want to have fun. Parents will attend turn-out inspection, helmet fitting, and the horse management educational sessions with their child's team. This is a very educational opportunity; all Adults are encouraged to attend too!

Please Bring:  Members - clean with paddock boots, belt, polo shirt tucked in, beige breeches/pants, hair tied back, PC pin, Medical Arm Band & Watch - there will be a schedule to keep. Bring helmet, halter & lead rope, girth, saddle, bridle and a saddle rack & Team Awning.  All tack must be in “USPC approved condition” (meaning safe, good stitching & no cracks) it also should be clean and labeled with “your club & your initials” (Remember: no tape on leather)

What to expect:  All team members & parents should wear their Team Colors (team polo shirts & jackets are preferred if you have them) Each Team must have an assigned “Parent in Charge” Their job will be to help keep their team together and communicate any changes to the Team. They will also “check-in” for the Team and be in charge of name badges and paperwork for the Team. (Also good to utilize your D-3’s or C’s as Leaders too!) …

Individual Info:  If you are coming as an individual participant, please be sure to tell the Rally Organizer on your entry form and we will likely join you with a smaller Team.

Competitiors:  Remember to wear your PC pin, Medical Arm Band & demonstrate great teamwork & encourage each other!  ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST wear a Medical Arm Band (on arm), If you do not have one, you can purchase a MAB for $10 at check-in the day of (bring cash or Check payable to “SCRPCRC”)
