Takeout 25 Taste the Town 2025 — Our Signature Summer Celebration Returns!

In 2025, Takeout 25 turns 5 — can you believe it’s already been five years? To mark this milestone, we’re launching the Takeout 25 Community Cookbook later this year! You can be part of this special publication by reserving your copy and helping us cover the publishing costs with a donation of $25 or more when you purchase tickets to this year’s Taste the Town below. Cookbooks will be available by our anniversary, November 17, just in time for the holidays.

What to Expect
🎶 Live Music: Chicago soul legend Gerald McClendon returns with his full band, alongside the one and only DJ Bounce House of OPAF fame.
🍽️ Food & Drinks: Sample signature tastes from 9 local restaurants, enjoy a fully stocked bar,
📚 Books, Art and Community: This year, we’re proud to support Our Future Reads, Oak Park’s new nonprofit bookstore. Like food nourishes the body, books nourish the mind. Come meet the team and learn about their inspiring mission and explore a local art exhibition and book showcase.

🎟️ Tickets: $50 per person (includes two food coupons).
Children under 16 attend free with a parent. Additional food coupons available onsite. Cash bar.

🌱 Sustainability Spotlight:
Our Green Dining Hub partners at the Illinois Green Business Association will host engaging sustainability games for kids and adults — complete with cool local dining prizes! Discover how you can help build a more sustainable food future.
