Each spring, we hold our Annual Celebration to honor statewide achievements in walkability and to highlight the contributions of our wonderful volunteers, board members, and the many individuals and corporations who support us each year.

The Golden Shoes Awards recognize the individuals, agencies, and municipalities that embody the mission of WalkMassachusetts. This year, we are proud to honor Tracy Zafian, Kat Radisic, the Shared Streets Coalition, the Somerville Mobility Division, and the Pedestrian & Transit Advisory Committee (PTAC). Each of these honorees has made outstanding contributions toward creating safer, more walkable communities across the Commonwealth.

We will also be celebrating Ann Hershfang for an incredible 36 years of leadership and dedication to WalkMassachusetts as she steps off the board — a legacy that has shaped the walkability movement across the Commonwealth.

We are honored to welcome Reggie Ramos from T4MA as our keynote speaker for the WalkMassachusetts Annual Celebration! As the head of T4MA, Reggie is at the forefront of the fight for safer, more equitable, and more connected communities across Massachusetts. Come hear her insights on how we can transform our streets for the better.
