I am participating in the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center Miracles in Motion 5K in honor of Carson.

Carson was diagnosed with osteosarcoma at age 16. No child should ever have to fight something so brutal, and no family should ever have to watch someone they love go through it. Carson faced more than anyone should have to face, but he was never defined by cancer. He was funny, smart, loving, stubborn, sarcastic, strong, and unforgettable.

As Carson’s bonus dad, I am walking BEEcause of Carson. 🐝 He is my Bee Boy, and he will always be part of my heart and my life.

Our family is walking with OsteoCure Warriors: Bad to the Bone, a team made up of families connected by osteosarcoma. Some are walking for children who are still fighting. Some are walking for children who have gone before us. Some are walking for children who are now NED, with no evidence of disease. Every family has a story, and every step matters.
