Our family is participating in the Johns Hopkins Childrenās Center Miracles in Motion 5K in honor of our son, Carson.
Carson was diagnosed with osteosarcoma at age 16. He faced more in his short life than anyone should ever have to face, but he was so much more than cancer. He was funny, smart, stubborn, loving, sarcastic, and unforgettable. He changed every room he walked into, and he continues to change the way we live, love, and show up for others.
This year, we are walking and fundraising with OsteoCure Warriors: Bad to the Bone. Our team is made up of families who understand the heartbreak, fear, hope, and love that come with osteosarcoma. Some are walking for children who are still fighting. Some are walking for children who have gone before us. Some are walking for the very fortunate ones who are now NED, with no evidence of disease. Every family has a story. Every child matters. Every step means something.
For us, every step is BEEcause of Carson. 🐝 Our Bee Boy. Our reason. Our forever love.
Every donation helps support children and families facing the unthinkable and helps fund the work being done through Johns Hopkins Childrenās Center and Pediatric Oncology. It also helps keep Carsonās light moving forward in a way that is full of love, purpose, and hope.
Thank you for supporting us, remembering Carson with us, and helping us fight for better treatments, better outcomes, and someday, a cure.
BEEcause of Carson, we keep going. 🐝
