I am participating in the Johns Hopkins Childrenās Center Miracles in Motion 5K in honor of my grandson, Carson.
Carson was diagnosed with osteosarcoma at age 16. No child should ever have to face something so unfair, and no family should have to watch someone they love go through it. Carson was so much more than his diagnosis. He was funny, smart, loving, stubborn, sarcastic, and unforgettable. He was deeply loved, and he always will be.
As Carsonās Nanna, I am walking BEEcause of Carson. 🐝 He is my Bee Boy, my grandson, and a part of my heart forever.
Our family is walking with OsteoCure Warriors: Bad to the Bone, a team made up of families connected by osteosarcoma. Some are walking for children who are still fighting. Some are walking for children who have gone before us. Some are walking for children who are now NED, with no evidence of disease. Every family has a story, and every step matters.
Your donation supports Johns Hopkins Childrenās Center and Pediatric Oncology, helping children and families facing the unimaginable and supporting the hope for better treatments, better outcomes, and someday, a cure.
Thank you for supporting me, remembering Carson with me, and helping our family keep his light moving forward.
BEEcause of Carson, we keep going. 🐝
