Pedal the Cause

Dear Family and Friends,

On September 20, I’ll once again be riding in Pedal the Cause, raising money to advance cancer research and bring us closer to a world without cancer.

Last year, I rode in honor of my Aunt Charlotte, who continues to fight pancreatic cancer with incredible strength and grace. Every day, she inspires me with her resilience and determination.

This year, I’m also riding in honor of my dear friend Janet, who was recently diagnosed with Stage 2 small cell lung cancer. Over the past year, I’ve sat beside her during oncology appointments, chemotherapy, and radiation treatments at Siteman Cancer Center—the same place where I received treatment for Stage 3 colon cancer 13 years ago.

Walking those halls again has brought back so many memories. It has also reminded me of something powerful: no one should face cancer alone. We are here for one another in the hardest moments, and that support can make all the difference. That’s why I keep riding.

Pedal the Cause represents hope, community, and progress in the fight against cancer. Every dollar donated goes directly to innovative cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center and Siteman Kids at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, helping fund new treatments, clinical trials, and discoveries that give patients and families more hope for the future.
