This got personal.

I’ve been riding in charity events for cancer for 10+ years.  About 1 month after completing my first LOWVELO ride last Nov, my wife was diagnosed with an aggressive and rare breast cancer.  She has undergone 6 months of chemo with surgery and radiation still to come.  Her prognosis is excellent and she is looking forward to being cancer free later this year!  None of this would be possible without the new drugs, therapies, and treatments developed at institutions like the MUSC Hollings Cancer center (hollingscancercenter.musc.edu).  I will ride in my wife’s honor this year!  Click to donate.

As for the ride, on Nov 7th I will be among thousands of participants riding in the largest charity ride in South Carolina.  LOVELO is an 80M ride through Charleston and surrounding towns in the Lowcountry to raise funds for cancer care and research at the MUSC Hollings Cancer center in Charleston.
