Helping Heroes, Inc., was founded by veterans and veteran supporters. The primary goal of Helping Heroes, a 501-c3, non-profit agency, is to assist homeless veterans and their families, veterans who may be struggling to prevent becoming homeless, and to assist veterans in obtaining the benefits they deserve.
Helping Heroes’ $6 million renovation of the Manufacturer’s Light and Heat Building will expand services to local Veterans and restore a vacant, historic property in downtown Wheeling. When completed, will consist of a resource center, as well as 15 transitional living apartments.
