It’s time to start preparing for another Badger Challenge! Time to think about our friends and families that have been impacted by cancer since our last challenge. This year’s Challenge has become even more personal for me as my sister, and teammate, was diagnosed with breast cancer back in February. After a successful surgery, Colleen/Kiko just finished up her last chemo treatment and is facing a 3-week course of radiation.
Because of her experience, I've seen firsthand how important the Carbone Cancer Center is to southern Wisconsin patients, which is why we accept this challenge each year--because we never know who that next person may be. We need them there for us and our loved ones, if we ever need them.
For 10 years, our team has helped accelerate cancer research and patient treatment initiatives forward at the University of Wisconsin through our involvement in the Badger Challenge. Once again, we'll be walking, running, and biking to power the brightest cancer minds, ideas and technologies at the UW. Their mission is to give 100% of all participant-raised dollars to the most promising UW cancer initiatives both in the laboratory and clinic setting. Since 2016, Badger Challenge has raised over $3.6 million, and we get to see where the money goes as the Badger Challenge presents their Scholars each year!
We are so fortunate to have this world-class institution right in our own backyard. Please consider donating to our team, Team Triple E + Steve. Help us raise the funds so they can continue their state-of-the-art research and provide successful treatments for whoever it is that will one day face their own cancer diagnosis.
Thank you so much for your generosity! Together we can help write the story that ends cancer!
Yvonne and Team Triple E + Steve!
