Circle of Change actively helps U.S. military veterans in Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois who were diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injuries or other emotional issues through weekly sessions of dog handling done with professional dog trainers. Currently, dog handling classes are offered in Rockford and Davis Junction, Illinois, and Madison, Wisconsin. Veterans from all wars have suffered the effects of post traumatic stress. Over the last 15 years, hundreds of local veterans and dogs have been positively impacted by participating in this program. Our goal is to expand this program to reach more veterans in need, helping them recover a better quality of life. Fundraisers like Sweat for Vets will help continue this mission.
Unfortunately, our classes were canceled throughout Summer 2020 as was our primary fundraising golf outing, so we're trying something new this year with our first annual Sweat for Vets 11.11 mile Walk/Run/Roll virtual challenge throughout the month of November.
Our mission for this event is to:
As we walk, run and/or roll our way through November, let us use this time to recognize all who have served.
