Help Fight Cancer
When my dad moved to Wisconsin in 2021, he was facing the weight of a recent stage IV prostate cancer diagnosis. In Florida, his prognosis had been grim, and the initial hospital gave him little hope. However, after transferring his care to the UW Carbone Cancer Center, he received exceptional care that not only extended his life but also allowed him to continue doing the things he loves.
When my mom was recently diagnosed with cancer, I felt an overwhelming sense of relief knowing she would be cared for by the amazing team at Carbone. While the diagnosis brought anxiety, the expertise and compassion she’s receiving throughout her care continue to give us hope, especially as we look toward advances in the treatment of uterine carcinosarcoma.
I am proudly fundraising to accelerate cancer research and patient treatment initiatives forward at the University of Wisconsin through my involvement in Badger Challenge half marathon.
The Badger Challenge's mission is to give 100% of all participant-raised dollars to the most promising UW cancer initiatives both in the laboratory and clinic setting. Badger Challenge takes place in September and 100% of all dollars-raised are presented to the newly announced Scholar Class by January of the next year. This is done quickly so the funds can make an impact in the labs and hospital helping patients and families immediately.
Help me support Badger Challenge and its UW cancer mission. All contributions are appreciated - whether it is $5 or $500, every dollar counts and you can be assured that every dollar you give goes back to the cause and helping those affected by cancer.
Thank you so much for your generosity!
