OUR IMPACT
You Run. They Go Further.
For 25 years, the SEASIDE SCHOOL™ Half Marathon + 5K has been about more than finish lines, medals, and personal records. Every registration, sponsorship, donation, and volunteer hour helps create extraordinary educational opportunities for students right here in Walton County.
Race Weekend is one of the largest annual fundraisers benefiting the SEASIDE SCHOOL FOUNDATION™, providing critical funding that helps SEASIDE SCHOOL™ deliver innovative programs, hands-on learning experiences, and opportunities that extend far beyond what traditional public-school funding can provide.
So yes, your miles matter. A lot.
25 YEARS OF RUNNING FOR A REASON
What started as a community race has grown into one of Northwest Florida's signature annual events, welcoming thousands of runners, families, volunteers, sponsors, and visitors to South Walton each year. But through 25 years of growth, one thing has never changed: the reason we run. Proceeds from Race Weekend directly support SEASIDE SCHOOL™, helping ensure students have access to an innovative, challenging, and inspiring public education.
MEET SEASIDE SCHOOL™
Small Schools. Big Opportunities.
Founded in 1996, SEASIDE SCHOOL™ is one of Florida's oldest public charter schools and has spent three decades proving what's possible when a community comes together around education. Today, SEASIDE SCHOOL™ serves more than 600 students in grades 5 through 12 across two campuses:
- SEASIDE NEIGHBORHOOD SCHOOL™
Grades 5–8 | Seaside, Florida
Located in the heart of Seaside, SEASIDE NEIGHBORHOOD SCHOOL™ provides students with a rigorous, engaging middle school experience built around academic excellence, creativity, leadership, character, and community. Students are challenged to think critically, discover their strengths, take ownership of their learning, and begin imagining just how far they can go. - SEACOAST COLLEGIATE HIGH SCHOOL
Grades 9–12 | Santa Rosa Beach, Florida
At Seacoast Collegiate High School, students don't have to wait until after graduation to start building their future. Through the school's unique collegiate model and partnership with Northwest Florida State College, students can pursue college coursework while completing high school, with many earning an Associate of Arts degree alongside their high school diploma. Students also have access to advanced academic pathways, industry certifications, leadership opportunities, and innovative programs in areas including artificial intelligence, engineering, and rocketry.
EXCELLENCE IS THE EXPECTATION
SEASIDE SCHOOL™ isn't simply doing education differently. It's delivering results. The school consistently ranks among Florida's highest-performing public schools and has earned an A rating for 25 consecutive years. The Class of 2026 continued that tradition of excellence:
- 100% Graduation Rate
- 83% Earned an Associate of Arts Degree
- 81% Graduated with Honors
- 80% Earned Industry Certification
Those numbers tell an impressive story. But behind every percentage is a student who was challenged, supported, inspired, and given an opportunity to dream bigger.
WHAT YOUR MILES MAKE POSSIBLE
Public funding provides the foundation. Our community helps make the extraordinary possible. Funds raised through Race Weekend help bridge the gap between traditional public-school funding and the exceptional educational experience SEASIDE SCHOOL™ strives to provide. Your support helps make possible programs and experiences such as:
- Dream Big: Helping students discover what's possible by connecting learning, aspirations, and real-world experiences.
- Amazing Shake + House Leadership: Building confidence, communication skills, character, leadership, and the ability to walk into a room and own it.
- Entrepreneurship + Business Leadership: Giving students opportunities to develop ideas, solve problems, think like entrepreneurs, and build skills they'll carry into college and careers.
- STEM + Innovation: Providing hands-on opportunities to explore science, technology, engineering, artificial intelligence, rocketry, and the technologies shaping our future.
- Arts: Creating opportunities for students to explore their creativity, develop their talents, and experience the role the arts play in a well-rounded education.
- College + Career Readiness: Helping students graduate prepared for what comes next through dual enrollment, industry certifications, advanced coursework, and real-world learning opportunities.
- The Seaside Way Scholarship: Extending the impact of a SEASIDE SCHOOL™ education beyond graduation by investing in students as they take their next steps.
